Terra Cotta Warriors

We went to an exhibit of the Chinese Terra Cotta Warriors at the National History Museum in January. Thousands of these warriors were discovered a few decades ago. Researchers still aren't quite sure how big pieces like the warrior below and other pieces like large horses were fired in a kiln hundreds of years ago. Evidently it would be difficult to fire pieces this big in a kiln even today.
