Well, Rafe accomplished a big task this summer -- he has learned to ride his bike without training wheels. When we were home in Iowa in July, Rafe was very intrigued by how fast his cousin Taylor could go on her bike without training wheels. He thought he would immediately be able to ride that fast as well, but learned it takes a little more work. We've had a few lessons this summer and now he's doing great. He still has problems stopping and prefers to just throw the bike over and crash, but we're working on that. Because his stopping method is a bit precarious, we deck him out in a helmet, elbow pads, and knee pads each time he rides.
Wait until I tell him they just allowed BMX racing into the Olympics.
