You Have a Lot to Catch Up On

Sean and his Cub Scout troop starting out the year last September.  Their goal was to complete their Wolf badges.

My incredibly handsome husband turned 40 in September.  Here he is right before we went to dinner at his favorite restaurant, Restaurant Eve.

Enjoyed our annual girls' trip to Chicago with my sister Amy.  Our mom was there too but no pic unfortunately.

Someone dared to challenge me for the official Princess Leia of our town's Halloween parade.  I have no idea who this baby is, but she certainly wins most adorable Princess Leia.

Rafe puts on his crazy face for a Cub Scout bowling outing.

Newt Gingrich had a press conference to announce Rafe would be his VP if he was chosen as the GOP candidate.  Now we're working on getting Rafe to run as a write-in Libertarian candidate.

 

Our Christmas holiday included a trip to the ice skating rink.  Taylor and Rafe slowed down long enough to take a picture with me.

Rafe turns 8 and his cousin Lindsay and other family are there to help him celebrate. 

I brave the elements for a Cub Scout ski outing with Rafe.  Sean had just had knee surgery, so he warmed his buns in the lodge the whole day.

Rafe helps lead his Cub Scout troop through the President's Day parade in our town.

Rafe and Sean enjoy bunking on the Taney boat in Baltimore Harbor for an overnight.  Once again, it was a Cub Scout event. 

Swordfighting lessons!  Of course you must be trained in swordfighting to be a good Cub Scout.  Rafe's cousins were visiting and able to join in the lesson -- you can see Lindsay in the front of the picture.
