Catching up on 2010

As 2010 comes to a close, let's get you all updated on our last few months:

Rafe and I built a robot uniform out of recyclables. Rafe came up with the design, and I helped execute.

We took a trip to New York City in October. Rafe saw his first Broadway show (Lion King), and he absolutely loved it. We saw the dinosaur bones at the Natural History Museum, and Rafe also met a giant M&M at the Hershey's store.

Rafe and his soccer team, The Fast Fireballs, had a good fall season. Sean was the head coach this fall, so he was kept quite busy. The team started off resembling the Bad News Bears, but they turned things around a bit in their final games. Rafe took an extra set of soccer lessons this fall with a British program, and his skills are advancing.

Rafe and Sean took their second annual trip to North Carolina to go fishing in November.

I'm on a mission to become adept at pie-making. Here is a blueberry pie I made in November.

Sean's sister Krista had a baby boy named Mason in May. Sean and Rafe were able to meet him when they came to Iowa in November. Below is Mason with Grandpa Jerry. Below that are Mason's parents Mike and Krista with Grandpa Jerry and Mason.

While home in November, Sean went to the Iowa vs. Ohio State football game with his dad. Unfortunately, Iowa didn't win. However, here is a nice shot of the team running onto the field.

Rafe met Santa at Sean's Christmas party for his work. This year he asked Santa for a toy soldier.

While home for Christmas break we went to an Iowa basketball game with Amy's family and my mom. Here are all the kids with Herky. The Iowa men even won the game!
